The Culling – Review by Mr.Chillax

This is a new game with a very distinctive gametype. If you’ve have played Rust before you will recognise things in this game. The Culling however has some adjustments that makes the game something completely different. It is still in the early access stage of the game and will be developed more, but there are already a lot of features.

If you haven’t seen anything yet about this new game, you should check out this review and watch the video. Basically this game is focused on surviving. As a contestant in the deadly game, you must explore the island, scavenge for items, craft weapons, and build traps that will enable you to slay your fellow contestants and emerge victorious before the end of the round. Only with cunning skill, and a little luck will you be able to prevail and survive the match.

You will be able to find a lot of different items on the island like rocks, wood, knives and more. You can use these items to craft better items. It’s basically some sort of mix between Minecraft and Rust. Unlike Rust however, you start a game with 16 other contestants and have 20 minutes to survive. You can win the game in a team or be a lonewolf and kill all the others. The map in which you play also has different stages which will change with time. Deadly poison gas will slowly constrict the arena in the final stages. While in early access mode, there is currently only one map.

You not only have items you can craft, but you can find weapons and items in crates around the island, get stuff from airdrops, use injections for perks and find “FUNC” to use later on.

The thing I really love about this game is that you have the ability to play like a team and are able to craft anything you like as long as you find the resources. Since you need to survive and everybody else is your enemy, you get really pumped up when you come up against anybody else.  Me and 2Pac (Mojoo) already played to game together and I made a video about this. You can watch an intro of the game in the beginning and check out the gameplay of us in the second half.
